Gonzalo Alvarado is a partner in the Litigation Practice at Baraona Marshall, with more than 30 years of professional experience. His practice focuses on white-collar criminal litigation, complex civil disputes, and corporate insolvency and restructuring proceedings.
In the criminal field, he has represented clients in high-stakes economic crime cases. In civil and insolvency matters, he has acted both as counsel to companies undergoing liquidation or reorganization and as legal advisor to creditors’ committees. This dual perspective has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of corporate crisis management. He has also appeared before the Courts of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Chile, and the Constitutional Court, defending clients in matters of significant legal relevance.
Mr. Alvarado earned his law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He was an Invited Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Criminal Law in Germany. He also holds a Diploma in Criminal Procedure Reform and Litigation from Universidad Alberto Hurtado, and has completed advanced studies in Taxation, Business and Corporate Law, and Economic Crimes at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
